MLK Jr. Way South is home to some of Seattle’s best, independently owned ethnic eateries. PON was created by the MLK Business Association and HomeSight to give visibility to these core business of South Seattle to help build interest in the area both internally and externally. Challenge to Penniless was to visually represent a clean image that communicated multiple cultures coming together in the common experience of food and eating. Core concept centers around a round plate featuring eating utensils from around the world – including hands.
